Philadelphia is a great tourist town so if you visit consider staying over for the weekend. As parking is a premium in Phily, I recommend that if possible you use Taxies rather than rental cars. We can provide you a room at the Philadelphia Airport Sheraton for $130 a night which includes full breakfast and parking. To book the Sheraton E - MAIL....... WORK SHOP DESCRIPTION:
"TIP TIG FEATURES
AND WELD APPLICATION BENEFITS"
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TIP TIG WORKSHOP: This is the first time in 70 years that an effective fully modified weld process has been introduced in North America. TIP TIG will have an immediate weld quality and productivity impact for any weld shop that simply wishes to achieve the highest possible weld quality at the lowest welding costs.
TYPICAL TIP TIG WORK SHOP: THURSDAY.
If you use TIG, MIG, Pulsed MIG, CMT, RMD, STT, Flux Cored or SMAW on any manual or automated high quality weld applications, we hope you can attend this unique work shop. We will show you that when the TIP TIG process is used on any application, any alloy and in any weld position, TIP TIG will always provide superior manual and automated TIG weld quality with welds often made at MIG wire feed rates.
TIP TIG is a patent pending modified "Hot Wire TIG" process with unique manual / automated wire feed delivery. TIP TIG is accepted by all weld code bodies as the GTAW process. In contrast to other available Hot / Cold Wire TIG processes, TIP TIG provides extraordinary practical weld quality and cost benefits. This work shop will present the many weld benefits from the TIP TIG process.
CONTROLLING WELD QUALITY PRODUCTION AND COSTS: In the TIP TIG seminar, we will show you the root cause of most common code weld defects and show you how TIP TIG provides the weld resolutions necessary to instantly minimize the potential for costly weld rework on any application.
[] For those interested in weld quality and costs, we will show you how on many open root stainless or alloy tank and vessel applications how you may have the opportunity to eliminate the common costly argon purge gas practices used for root weld protection.
[]
We can even show how on many titanium applications we can use smaller trailing shields or eliminate trailing shields while welding titanium at 100 to 400% faster than any manual or automated TIG weld.
[]
We can quickly show you when welding stainless, inconels and duplex, a weld quality never before attained in North American weld shops.
[]
We can achieve welds on any alloys with the smallest possible HAZ and the least amount of distortion.
[] We can show you how to minimize the opportunity
for any weld defects and at the same time produce weld that generate the least amount of weld stresses.
[] We will show you a process that in contrast to all welding processes produces the lowest amount of weld fumes.
THURSDAY PM. DEMONSTRATION OF TIP TIG CAPABILITY. In the afternoon at the TIP TIG USA training and demo facility at the Philly Naval Ship Yard, the TIP TIG team will provide hands on practical TIP TIG weld demonstrations on any position, any alloy, any pipe, plate welds.
We will show you automated inconel / stainless TIG cladding far superior to what you are attaining with your TIG processes. We will show you orbital TIG weld production / quality capability beyond that which you are attaining. We will reveal the best way to do ID pipe, tube bore and valve welds. The demonstrations will instantly reveal the numerous TIP TIG weld quality and productivity benefits.
FRIDAY. For those that stay over on Friday, if you wish you can get a hands on experience with the process (we provide weld shields and jackets) or we will discuss or weld your applications. You may also send your most challenging weld parts to us and we will weld them for you.
